INLAND CAPTURE FISHERIES INVESTMENT
Goal: Fish is an exellent source of protein, but many currently fish the rivers using hook and line. For these established fishermen, the ability to "upgrade" to seine nets would allow them to profitably provide much more fish to the local areas.
Community Benefit: More availability of fish would allow protein to be more affordable, competing against the fish which has been trucked up country (and thus expensive due to fuel costs). One concern is that seine nets can have a significant impact on the local environment. They are used in other areas of the country.
